About Dr. William Daniel Burnham
Dr. William D. Burnham has served in pastoral ministry for more than forty years as a pastor, teacher, author, and conference speaker. Known affectionately as Pastor Bill, he has devoted his life to helping individuals grow in their understanding of Scripture and their walk with Christ.
Since 2016, he has served as the lead pastor of Tanglewood Community Church in Sebring, Florida. Before coming to Sebring, he spent twenty-one years as senior pastor of a non-denominational church in Atlanta, Georgia, following earlier ministries in New York, Tennessee, and Georgia.
A native of Rochester, New York, Dr. Burnham holds degrees from Leavell College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He later earned both a Master’s in Theological Studies and a Ph.D. in Communication and Leadership Development from Louisiana Baptist University.
He is the author of twenty-four books, including The Role of the Pastoral Leader in the Church Today, The Gifting, and Just a Thought About Prayer. His work also includes two full-length Bible commentaries, nine devotional books, and twelve in-depth Bible studies, all designed to help believers move from passive reading to active, structured spiritual growth.
Dr. Burnham and his wife, Cheryl, have been married for thirty-seven years and are blessed with three children, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Outside of ministry, he enjoys golf, outdoor activities, fitness, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
